Protégée au titre des Monuments historiques depuis 1975, cette imposante demeure de style régionaliste normand répond à une commande du baron Henri de Rothschild. Grand amateur de courses, ce dernier choisit de s'implanter à proximité de l'hippodrome. La villa est érigée en 1907 à l'emplacement de la Ferme du Coteau, bien de la famille du romancier Gustave Flaubert depuis 1837. Propriété de l’éditeur de presse américain Ralph Beaver Strassburger à partir de 1924, la villa a été léguée à la Ville de Deauville en 1980. Chose rare, de ce dernier la villa a conservé son mobilier d’époque, sa décoration, ses bibelots, de nombreux tableaux de chevaux et des caricatures qui témoignent des fêtes de l’époque. A l’intérieur, on peut également admirer des peintures et sculptures de l’artiste Enrico Campagnola.
