L’exposition Mémoire de pierre. Corrèze – Auschwitz met en lumière le travail conjoint de l’historien corrézien Jean-Michel Valade et de l’illustrateur Antoine Quaresma autour de l’adaptation en bande dessinée du roman La stèle. Écrit par Jean-Michel Valade, le livre paru en 2016 a pour point de départ un épisode tragique de l’histoire locale : la rafle du 15 avril 1944 au Saillant, village situé à une vingtaine de kilomètres de Brive, à cheval sur les communes d’Allassac et de Voutezac. Ce jour-là, vingt-et-un habitants sont arrêtés et interrogés par les forces d’occupation ; plusieurs seront ensuite déportés. Le 14 avril 1985, une stèle est inaugurée pour commémorer ces événements. Toutefois, les noms des cinq personnes juives déportées et disparues n’y figurent pas. Du 11 mai 2026 au 23 janvier 2027.
