Il y a 80 ans, en 1944, Figeac et son territoire étaient marqués par des engagements de résistance envers l’occupant et des actes de répression qui ont profondément affectés la population civile. Rafles, exécutions, destructions, mais aussi actions armées contre les nazis ou sabotages d’équipements utiles au Reich se sont déployés dans les mois précédant la Libération. Exposition 1944 en Pays figeacois : un territoire face à la guerre Dans la région de Figeac, les premiers mois de l’année 1944 sont marqués par une montée en puissance de l’action des maquis et la mise en œuvre par les nazis d’importantes opérations de répression visant la population civile. Nourrie par des documents d’archives et des témoignages d’habitants, l’exposition s’appuie sur l’avancée de la recherche historique et met en œuvre une démarche de contextualisation.
